One of my favorite words is

potato

maybe because it makes me think of a potato

or it’s the word itself

perhaps the combination

the sound

po

tay

toe

with thoughts of all the ways

potaytoes can be

none of them wrong

unless they’re scalloped

that was wrong

honestly, I think it happened because somebody said

hey, I bet you can’t fuck up a potato

and the other guy said

I’ll show you

and he came back with a potato scalloped

and the first man said

take my hand.
